Meet Your Bulgarian Language Guide
A native of Sofia, Bulgaria, Polina Alexandrova Conrad graduated in 2001 from the University of St Cyril and St Methodious in Veliko, Tarnovo with a Masters degree in English Philology and Linguistics. She also speaks Italian, Russian, German and is currently working on improving her French. She moved to United States where she continued taking classes at Irvine Valley College while employed by the University of California, Irvine. Polina Conrad has also worked for the University of California, Berkley, Bank of America and SRI International in Palo Alto, CA.
In 2020 she decided to retire early and start teaching Bulgarian primarily to students who wanted to attend universities in Bulgaria. She continued to teach people of all ages who were moving to Bulgaria for the quality of life, location and rich cultural life.
Her teaching style incorporates a specific linguistic approach, which focuses on the ability to speak clearly and convey ideas while including reading and writing skills.
Every one hour lesson is supported with a mandatory 120 mins of self accomplished homework spread over even intervals throughout the week. Bulgarian is a diffucult language, so a dedicated student is the first step for successful learning.
